FAQs for Temple End

Is Temple End within the area you cover?

Yes. Temple End is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. We work right across London and South East England. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route when you book.

Are there drone restrictions around Temple End?

It depends on the exact address and the weather on the day. Every flight is checked against the Drone Safety Map first. The flight also waits for calm, dry weather.

What happens after the survey?

You will get the report by email. With Standard there is a follow-up consultation; with Premium, an in-person consultation, so you can talk the findings through.

Does someone need to be in?

Not always. An outside-only look can be arranged beforehand, but anything inside needs someone there to give access.

What will the report tell me?

You get our findings in writing, part by part, with photos, finishing with recommendations. The most urgent items are made clear.

When does the report arrive?

That depends on the survey you book: the Basic Survey report arrives within 48 hours, the Standard Survey in 24 to 48 hours and the Premium Survey the same day. Reports are sent by email.

How much is a survey?

Drone roof survey starts from £400, including VAT. What you pay for your roof depends on its size, height, access and the package.

How a drone roof survey works in Temple End

Prices start from £400, including VAT. A drone inspection, where applicable, is also part of our Premium Survey, along with structural analysis, a same-day report and an in-person consultation. There’s a 12-month follow-up as well. We’ll tell you if a drone isn’t the right tool for your roof. Every drone survey comes with a written report and close-up photos. We survey fragile roofs, chimney stacks and large and complex roofs, and people most often book us about ponding and splits on a high flat roof and debris building up in hidden gutters.

Villages like Temple End frequently stand in open country, where wind can be strong. A small drone can’t fly safely in strong wind or a downpour, and thermal imaging works best with little wind. The visit is planned around the forecast, along with the journey and access. A change in the forecast can mean moving the visit to another day.

Pictures do a lot of the work in our reports, so you can see each defect rather than just read about it. If something couldn’t be seen safely, the report is clear about it.

For landlords and managing agents

Where a roof is shared: we need access agreed with the building owner or managing agent. Mention it when you contact us and we will plan the survey around it.

If you own several properties, surveys can be booked for more than one address. To discuss a number of properties, call 07833 053749 or email us.

Tips that help

Most of what helps is simple and safe from ground level. Our suggestions:

  • Book early if you’re near an airport
  • Mention anything you’ve noticed on the roof
  • Make sure the loft can be reached
  • Allow for a change of day in poor weather

Your report arrives by email, with close-up photos from the flight. Each finding is explained in plain words, with recommendations prioritised by urgency where relevant.

Every so often, look in the loft space with a torch, keeping to boarded areas. The underside often shows problems before the outside does. Take photos of any changes.

What a survey costs

We confirm the price for your roof before booking. These are the things that affect it:

  • The roof’s overall size
  • Chimneys, valleys, parapets and other details
  • Height and safe access
  • The number of roofs, including extensions and garages

Simple, low roofs take less time to survey than tall or complicated ones, and the package matters as well. We’ll give you the figure before anything is booked.

What to tell us when you get in touch

The more you tell us, the easier it is to price the survey. When you contact us, let us know:

  • The property’s address and postcode
  • Pictures of the roof from a safe spot, if you have them
  • The kind of building and roof involved
  • When you need the report by

A quick phone call is usually the easiest start: ring 07833 053749 or use the contact form. You’ll have a price before anything is arranged.

The survey, step by step

We check the roof from outside and, where it is relevant and there is safe access, from inside the roof space too. Inside, we look for staining, damp, gaps and signs of movement. All in, the survey typically takes roughly 1–2 hours for most houses, while a commercial roof takes nearer three to four hours. Older rural homes like those around Temple End can have a main roof, lower lean-to roofs and outbuildings all joined together. We work round each section in turn, from the safest viewpoints, and anything we cannot see is noted.

  1. We start by making sure a drone flight makes sense for the roof.
  2. A date is fixed, with a fallback in case the weather turns.
  3. We fly over the roof, keeping the camera on the property we are surveying.
  4. Where there is safe access, we check the loft as well.
  5. You get photos, findings and clear recommendations.

How to prepare

  • Check we can get to the back of the property
  • Gather any invoices or paperwork from past roof work
  • Make sure the loft hatch can be reached

Getting a price

If you have photos of the roof, send them over. Take them safely from ground level or a window, and please don’t climb up for a closer look. To get started, ring 07833 053749 or send us an email.

Advice

Do you need a drone roof survey in Temple End?

Hidden gutters and valleys are easy to overlook. Debris collects where nobody looks, until it causes a leak inside. A drone shows them clearly from above.

We are often asked to look at:

  • Blocked valleys and parapet gutters
  • Flashings that have come away
  • Gaps where slates or tiles have gone
  • Eroded pointing on a chimney stack

Whatever the street in Temple End, a roof costs least to look after when faults are caught early.

What to check before booking

  • Will they check the loft as well as the outside?
  • How long they’ve been surveying roofs
  • Which viewpoints they use to see the roof
  • What the report includes, and whether it has photos
