Drone Roof Survey in Cooper's Corner
We take a careful look at the roof at your property in Cooper's Corner, and put it all in a report with photos.
- Standing water on a flat roof
- Blocked valleys and parapet gutters
- Chimney tops in poor condition
Useful tips for Cooper's Corner property owners
Getting the most from a drone roof survey starts before we arrive and carries on afterwards. Some tips:
- Let us know the exact address when you book
- Move stored items away from the hatch
- Let neighbours know about the flight if your roof is shared
- Check there’s room outside for the drone to take off
File the report and photos with your home documents. They give you something to compare against later, and they help if you sell.
Do not block the vents at the eaves. Poor airflow lets condensation build up. Make sure insulation doesn’t block the airflow.
About our drone roof survey in Cooper's Corner
We fly a sub-250g drone, and we’re a CAA-registered drone operator, with a Flyer ID and an Operator ID. We keep it in sight throughout, and well below the 120-metre height limit. Every flight is planned around the roof, the site and the people nearby. Before every flight, we check the airspace and the weather. We never fly where it isn’t safe. Typical surveys look at moss and weeds taking hold up top and gaps where slates or tiles have gone, across fragile roofs, tall and steep roofs and chimney stacks.
In a small place like Cooper's Corner, open ground can mean strong wind. A small drone cannot fly safely in strong wind or heavy rain, and thermal imaging works best with little wind. We plan the journey, access and timing around the weather. A change in the forecast can mean moving the visit to another day.
What you get is a clear record of the roof on the day we saw it. It’s useful right away, and a good reference for later, for instance when you want to check whether anything has changed.

Cooper's Corner questions
Does a conservation area affect roof work in Cooper's Corner?
Historic England’s list shows listed buildings, and the local council can tell you about conservation areas. Listed building consent is needed for changes that affect a listed building’s special interest, and conservation areas can limit changes of roofing material.
Will you come out to Cooper's Corner?
Yes, we do. We work right across London and South East England, and smaller places are part of that. The journey is planned ahead, so it’s useful to know about access.
How long does a drone roof survey take?
Typically, it takes roughly 1–2 hours at a house, including the airspace and weather checks before take-off. Pre-flight checks of the site and the weather are part of that.
Will you go up on the roof?
Only when it’s safe. Most of what we need can be seen from safe viewpoints, the loft and, where applicable, a drone, and anything out of sight is recorded in the report.
Do I have to be there for the survey?
If the survey includes the loft or the inside of the building, someone needs to let us in. Access is agreed with you as you book.
How many surveys have you done?
Over 20 years and more than 5,000 surveys, across London and South East England.
Do you carry out surveys on Saturdays and Sundays?
We survey seven days a week: Monday to Friday, Saturdays and Sundays. Just let us know the days that suit you.
Landlord and commercial surveys in Cooper's Corner
Where a roof is shared: we need access agreed with the building owner or managing agent. Mention it when you contact us and we’ll plan the survey around it.
An agent can book and manage the survey for a landlord, with the report sent to whoever needs it. We agree a time with the tenant beforehand.

What you can safely check yourself
After strong wind, take a look from the pavement or garden: pieces of tile or slate on the ground, a gap in the ridge or a lifted flashing are all worth noting. Leave anything above ground level to a survey.
A DIY look is useful, but it isn’t a survey. From the ground, valleys, flashings and the backs of chimneys are often out of sight.

Honest limits
Every survey has limits, and we’d rather be clear about that before you book. Bear these in mind:
- A flight on a day when the weather isn’t safe
- A flight where airspace permission is refused
- Anything inside the loft or under the coverings
If you are not sure which survey you need, call 07833 053749 or email us and we’ll give you a straight answer. What our survey covers.
What we look at
- Tall and steep roofs
- Fragile roofs
- Large and complex roofs
- Valleys and parapet gutters
- Flat roofs on upper floors
- Chimney stacks
When to book a survey in Cooper's Corner
The top of a stack is the most exposed part of many roofs. From ground level, you rarely see cracked flaunching or loose pots. Close-up drone photos show their condition.
Common reasons to book include:
- Hidden gutters full of leaves
- Eroded pointing on a chimney stack
- Moss building up on slopes and in gutters
- Damage after a storm that can’t be seen from below
The streets around a church such as Holy Trinity are frequently among the oldest in a place, and if your house is among the older ones nearby, tall stacks and steep slopes are easier to judge with close-up aerial photos than from the pavement.

How the survey works
We work from the outside in: outside views come first, then the loft space if there is safe access. In total, it takes an hour or two at a house, including the airspace and weather checks before take-off. Older roofs in small places like Cooper's Corner can have low, tight loft spaces, so tell us about the loft hatch and any ladder. Only areas that can be reached safely are inspected.
- We start with the address and what you’d like checked.
- Airspace restrictions are checked and permission sought where needed.
- We assess the conditions and the take-off spot first.
- We fly the sub-250g drone close to the roof and photograph each area.
- The findings, photos and recommendations reach you by email.
Before we arrive
- Leave side gates unlocked
- Make a note of anything you’d like us to look at
- Tell us about parking before the day
