About our drone roof survey in Coxtie Green

Our price is from £400, including VAT. A drone inspection, where applicable, is also part of our Premium Survey, along with structural analysis, a same-day report and an in-person consultation. There’s a 12-month follow-up as well. If a drone will not help on your roof, we’ll say so. You get a written report with the close-up photos from the flight. If you’ve noticed slates or tiles shifted by high winds and moss and weeds taking hold up top, we can find out what’s behind it, on valleys and parapet gutters, chimney stacks and tall and steep roofs alike.

Some older homes in villages like Coxtie Green are listed or in a conservation area. Neither a drone survey nor a thermal survey involves any work on the roof, which suits a building where any change needs care. Check with the council before planning any work on a listed building or one in a conservation area.

We write the report in plain English, so you do not need to be a roofer to follow it. Photographs show what each point refers to, with the urgent items made clear.

What a drone roof survey looks like in Coxtie Green

Our drone weighs under 250g, and we hold a CAA Flyer ID and Operator ID. Flights in the open category stay under 120 m (400 ft), with the drone kept in sight. Every flight is checked against the Drone Safety Map first, including zones around airports and prisons.

For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Becket Keys Church of England School, a view from above covers a wide roof far faster than walking it. Hare Hall lies about 4.3 miles south-west, so building around Coxtie Green goes back a long way. Older roofs nearby can be steep and hard to see from ground level, and a survey from the air or with a thermal camera does not touch the roof itself. If yours is one of the older homes in the streets near Trinity Church, steep roofs, tall chimneys and hidden valleys can be hard to see from the ground, and that’s where a view from the air or with a thermal camera helps.

Checking the roof from ground level

It is useful to keep a record: when leaks happen, ground-level photos and any past roof work. Share it with us as you book, as it helps us focus the survey.

If you have a loft with safe access, take a look inside. Use a torch and stay on the joists or boards, and look for staining, damp timber or daylight coming through.

What this survey cannot tell you

No survey can tell you everything, and it is better to know them up front. Bear these in mind:

  • Anything inside the loft or under the coverings
  • Structural calculations (that’s a structural engineer’s job)
  • A flight on a day when the weather isn’t safe

If you are not sure which survey you need, call 07833 053749 or use the contact form and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book. What a survey covers and doesn’t.

Landlords, agents and block managers in Coxtie Green

If you own several properties, you can book surveys for several addresses. To discuss a number of properties, ring 07833 053749 or use the contact form.

Shared roofs need a little more planning: access has to be agreed with whoever owns or manages the building. Let us know about it when you book and we will plan the survey around it.

Why act early in Coxtie Green

On a tall building, problems are often found only when water comes in. By that stage the damage has spread inside. A drone survey finds them sooner. In a small place like Coxtie Green, homes can be exposed to wind and rain, which finds any gap, and damp in older walls is slow to dry out.

The Premium Survey includes thermal imaging and drone inspection where it applies, which starts from £400, inc. VAT. We will tell you which package suits the questions you have.

Why book with us

  • Surveys seven days a week
  • Thermal imaging and drones used where they help
  • Packages from £150, with VAT included
  • An independent look at the roof

Questions from Coxtie Green

Do you cover smaller places like Coxtie Green?

Yes, we do. Our area covers London and South East England, and smaller places are part of that. The journey is planned ahead, so it helps to know about access.

Can you fly a drone over a roof in Coxtie Green?

That depends on where the roof is and on the weather. Every flight is checked against the Drone Safety Map first. A small drone can’t fly safely in strong wind or a downpour.

Do you survey roofs on blocks of flats?

Yes, once access has been agreed. The roof of a block or converted house is frequently shared, so the freeholder or managing agent needs to agree access. We can only inspect what we are given access to.

Is this an asbestos survey?

No. We don’t sample or test for asbestos. The report may flag materials that could contain asbestos on buildings built or refurbished before 2000.

Do you look in the loft space?

Usually, if there is one and it can be reached safely. From inside, the underside of the roof frequently shows damp, staining or daylight that can’t be seen from outside.

Is it a structural engineer’s report?

No. We’re experienced roof surveyors, and visible signs such as sagging are noted, but we don’t provide calculations or an engineer’s opinion. The report will say if you need an engineer.

How soon will I get the report?

It depends on the package: the Basic Survey report arrives within 48 hours, the Standard Survey in 24 to 48 hours and the Premium Survey the same day. The report is emailed to you.

Tips that help

A survey works best with a little help from you, before and after. Tips:

  • Mention anything you’ve noticed on the roof
  • Be ready to move the date if the weather turns
  • Let neighbours know about the flight if your roof is shared
  • Keep dogs indoors during the visit

Your report arrives by email, including the close-up photos taken by the drone. Findings are set out in plain English, and recommendations are ranked by urgency where that helps.

Keep the loft space ventilated. Poor airflow lets condensation build up, and it is something only an inside check will show. Keep insulation clear of the eaves.

The survey, step by step

We photograph the roof as we go, so the report shows exactly what we saw. We take close-ups from wherever is safe. Most surveys take an hour or two at most homes, with bigger or more complicated roofs taking longer. Somewhere as small as Coxtie Green, access is frequently the only tricky part. Let us know about outbuildings, past repairs and any leaks you’ve noticed. Visits can be on weekdays, Saturdays or Sundays.

  1. We start by making sure a drone flight makes sense for the roof.
  2. A date is fixed, with a fallback in case the weather turns.
  3. We fly over the roof, keeping the camera on the property we are surveying.
  4. If the loft can be reached safely, it is checked too.
  5. The report sets out what we found, with photos and recommendations.

How to prepare

  • Keep pets in another room
  • Move anything stored under the loft hatch
  • Leave side gates unlocked
