Drone roof surveys for homes and businesses in Eversley

Prices start from £400, including VAT. The Premium Survey includes a drone inspection where applicable, along with structural analysis, a same-day report and an in-person consultation. It also includes a follow-up after 12 months. If a drone won’t help on your roof, we will say so. Every drone survey comes with a written report and close-up photographs. We survey fragile roofs, flat roofs on upper floors and valleys and parapet gutters, and common reasons people get in touch are moss and weeds taking hold up top and chimney tops in poor condition.

In a village or hamlet like Eversley, roofs can be steep, old and hard to see from the lane. A drone and a thermal camera each give a view you cannot get from ground level. Weather and airspace are checked before the visit, and the journey is planned beforehand. Older roofs with steep slopes and tall chimneys are where the extra view helps most.

Pictures do a lot of the work in our reports, so you can see each defect rather than just read about it. If something couldn’t be seen safely, the report is clear about it.

Surveys for landlords and agents in Eversley

Shared roofs need a little more planning: access has to be agreed with whoever owns or manages the building. Mention it when you get in touch and we’ll plan the visit with that in mind.

Letting agents can arrange access with tenants. We survey on any day of the week, which helps when tenants work during the week.

Questions from Eversley

Can you fly a drone over a roof in Eversley?

That depends on where the roof is and on the weather. Blackbushe Airport is about 3 miles away, so we check the Drone Safety Map for restrictions before any flight. The flight also waits for calm, dry weather.

Will you come out to Eversley?

Yes. Eversley is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. Our area covers London and South East England. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the route as you book.

What will the report tell me?

It sets out what we found, why it matters and what we recommend, with photos throughout. Anything we couldn’t see safely is noted too, so you know exactly what was covered.

Will you check the loft?

Where it is relevant to the survey and there’s safe access, yes. A clear path to the hatch helps, and if the loft can’t be reached safely, the report says so.

Do I need to be at home?

Not necessarily. An outside-only look can be arranged beforehand, but anything inside needs someone there to give access.

How fast do I get the report?

It depends on the package: Basic within 48 hours, Standard in 24–48 hours and Premium the same day. The report is emailed to you.

How many surveys have you done?

We’ve completed more than 5,000 surveys, across 20+ years of surveying roofs, and 98% of clients are satisfied.

Do you need a drone roof survey in Eversley?

Big commercial and industrial roofs cover a lot of ground. A drone can photograph a large roof methodically, showing patterns of wear that are hard to spot up close. You see the whole roof, not just the parts near an access point.

People usually book a survey when they’ve noticed one of these:

  • Plant growth and moss on the roof
  • Cracked flaunching or loose chimney pots
  • Hidden gutters full of leaves
  • Lifted or split lead flashings

With Stratfield Saye House about 4.7 miles west, the area around Eversley has a long history. Photos from the air and thermal images let an old roof be checked without anyone disturbing it.

Choosing a roof surveyor

  • Which limits apply to the survey
  • How long they’ve been surveying roofs
  • Do they have a CAA Flyer ID and Operator ID for drone work?
  • Whether VAT is added on top

What to expect from a roof survey

Airspace, weather and Eversley roofs

Eversley is about 3 miles from Blackbushe Airport, so the Drone Safety Map is checked for restrictions around it before we fly. In this part of the South East, older roofs are mostly slate or clay tile and many newer ones concrete tile, with flat-roofed extensions, dormers and garages common everywhere. Many roofs like these can’t be judged properly from the pavement, and that’s where a view from above or a thermal image earns its place.

The streets around a church such as Church of St Mary are often among the oldest in a place, and if yours is one of the older homes nearby, older roofs can be steep and hard to see from the street, which is where photos from the air and thermal images help. For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Charles Kingsley's Church of England Primary School, a view from above covers a wide roof far faster than walking it.

How it works

The aim of the visit is simple: to look at the roof as closely as is safe and record what we find. Everything we note and photograph goes into the written report. It usually takes about one to two hours at a typical home, and about three to four hours for a commercial roof. Older rural homes like those around Eversley can have a main roof, lower lean-to roofs and outbuildings all joined together. We work round each section in turn, from the safest viewpoints, and anything we cannot see is noted.

  1. You give us the address and tell us about the roof.
  2. Airspace restrictions are checked and permission sought where needed.
  3. We assess the conditions and the take-off spot first.
  4. The drone photographs the roof closely, kept in sight throughout.
  5. We email the report with close-up photos and recommendations.

How to prepare

  • Keep pets inside or away from the areas we’re looking at
  • If the roof is shared, arrange access with whoever manages the building
  • Jot down any questions you want answered

Advice

What we look for on each type of roof

Valleys and parapet gutters

When a parapet outlet blocks, water can come inside. We check outlets and photograph any build-up.

Large commercial roofs

Large commercial roofs cover a lot of ground. A drone photographs the whole surface methodically, so nothing is skipped.

DIY checks: what’s safe

After strong wind, take a look from the pavement or garden: broken slates or tiles in the garden, gaps along the ridge or loose lead are signs to note. Leave anything above ground level to a survey.

During heavy rain, look at the gutters from the ground or a window. Water spilling over the edge can be a sign of a blockage or a gutter that has dropped.

Tips that help

Most of what helps is simple and safe from the ground. A few suggestions:

  • Give us the full address so we can check the airspace
  • Keep pets indoors during the flight
  • Move stored items away from the hatch
  • Mention anything you’ve noticed on the roof

Keep the photos with your property records. They give you something to compare against later.

Have high or hard-to-reach roofs surveyed every few years. Regular photos make changes easy to spot, and early repairs keep water out.
