Eversley Centre Drone Roof Survey
Drone roof surveys in Eversley Centre, backed by more than 20 years’ experience. Every survey ends with a written report and photographs.
- Vegetation in valleys and gutters
- Cracked flaunching or loose chimney pots
- Outlets choked with leaves and silt
How the survey changes by roof type
Valleys and parapet gutters
Some older terraces have a butterfly roof with a valley in the middle. It’s almost impossible to see from ground level, but it’s plain to see from the air.
Large commercial roofs
Older cement sheet roofs may contain asbestos. We do not test for it, but we flag it and recommend a specialist asbestos surveyor.
How a drone roof survey works in Eversley Centre
Neighbours’ privacy matters on every flight. The camera stays on your roof, not on gardens or windows next door. If your roof is joined to a neighbour’s, it’s worth letting them know about the visit. We survey the roof you’ve asked us to look at. Flights are kept as short as the job allows and focused on the roof in question. If you’re worried about plant growth and moss on the roof and standing water on a flat roof, a survey will tell you what’s going on.
Older buildings in small places like Eversley Centre may be listed or in a conservation area. Neither a drone survey nor a thermal survey involves any work on the roof, which suits a building where any change needs care, before anyone decides what work it needs. Changes that affect a listed building’s special interest need listed building consent, so check with the council first.
Where we can’t see part of the roof, the report says so. That way, it is clear what was covered and what wasn’t, and what we’d suggest next.

Drone roof surveys in Eversley Centre: local notes
Eversley Centre is about 2 miles from Blackbushe Airport, so the Drone Safety Map is checked for restrictions around it before we fly. Thatch survives on some older buildings in Hampshire’s villages. Older houses in the South East often have slate or clay tile roofs, while many later estates have concrete tiles. Older coverings on steep or tall roofs are hard to judge from below, so close-up aerial photos and thermal images help.
For site and facilities teams at buildings such as Charles Kingsley's Church of England Primary School, a drone or thermal camera can show a large roof in a single visit. If you live in an older home near Church of St Mary, tall stacks and steep slopes are easier to judge with close-up aerial photos than from the pavement.

Eversley Centre: your questions answered
Is drone flying allowed in Eversley Centre?
Usually it comes down to two things: the airspace at the address and the weather. Blackbushe Airport is about 2 miles away, so we check the Drone Safety Map for restrictions before any flight. The flight also waits for calm, dry weather.
Does a conservation area affect roof work in Eversley Centre?
You can check whether a building is listed on Historic England’s list, and your council can tell you if it’s in a conservation area. Listed building consent is needed for changes that affect a listed building’s special interest, and conservation areas can limit changes of roofing material.
Is this an asbestos survey?
No. Our report may flag materials that could contain asbestos, but only a specialist asbestos surveyor can confirm it. Buildings built or refurbished before 2000 may contain it.
Can you survey at the weekend?
We survey on any day from Monday to Sunday, during the day. Let us know your preferred days as you book.
Will you check the loft?
Where it’s relevant to the survey and there’s safe access, yes. A clear path to the hatch helps, and if the loft can’t be reached safely, the report says so.
How long have you been surveying roofs?
We’ve been surveying roofs for over 20 years and have carried out more than 5,000 surveys across London and South East England.
Do I have to be there for the survey?
It depends on what we need to see. For inside areas and the roof space, someone has to give us access; we’ll agree the details as you book.
What affects the price in Eversley Centre
When we price a survey, we consider:
- Whether you choose the Basic, Standard or Premium Survey
- Extensions, dormers and garages with roofs of their own
- The use of thermal imaging or a drone
- Building height and the viewpoints available
Our price is from £400, including VAT. The final price depends on the size and height of the roof, access and the package you choose.
Getting in touch
Getting the details right at the start saves time. Please include:
- The property’s address and postcode
- When you need the report by
- Any marks or damp showing indoors
- Anything about access we should know
You can call us seven days a week. For a price or to book, call 07833 053749 or email us.
Can I check my roof myself?
If you have a loft with safe access, take a look inside. Take a torch and only step on boards or joists, and look for staining, damp timber or daylight coming through.
The one thing to avoid is getting up close. Slates, tiles, flat roofs and rooflights can give way, and falls from height are serious. That part is for a survey.

The survey, step by step
Every visit follows the same pattern: we listen to what’s been worrying you, inspect the roof from every safe viewpoint, take photographs as we go and make notes for the report. Most visits take an hour or two for most homes, with the pre-flight checks included, and longer for big commercial roofs. Somewhere as small as Eversley Centre, access is often the only tricky part. Mention any outbuildings, barns or garages you want included, and anything about the roof you already know. Visits can be on weekdays, Saturdays or Sundays.
- We start by checking the airspace and any restrictions at your address.
- We arrange any permission that is needed before we fly.
- On the day, we check the weather and the site before flying.
- We fly the drone close to the roof to photograph it in detail, always in sight.
- Your report arrives by email, with close-up photos and recommendations.
Before we arrive
- Have any paperwork from past roof work to hand
- Let us know where we can park nearby
- Make sure the loft hatch can be reached
