Storm damage roof report in Mid Lavant: what you get
Our storm damage report starts from £150. You get a written report with photos by email. It does not price the repairs, so you will need a roofer’s quote for that. Your insurer may also send its own loss adjuster. Our report gives you an independent record of the damage and its likely cause. If you are worried about slates and tiles blown off the roof and water coming in after the storm, we can find out what’s behind it, whatever the roof.
Somewhere as small as Mid Lavant, older roofs have often been repaired many times. A new leak may be fresh damage or the latest sign of long-term wear, and the difference matters, especially to an insurer. We look at what can safely be seen and set out what we find. Damp in old walls and timbers is slow to dry, so the sooner the cause is found the better.
How fast the report arrives depends on the package: the Basic Survey within 48 hours, the Standard Survey in 24 to 48 hours and the Premium Survey on the same day.

Surveys for landlords and agents in Mid Lavant
We survey roofs for landlords and agents as well as householders. A report with photographs gives you a clear record of the roof, which helps you plan work between tenancies.
Businesses and commercial landlords can book us too, including offices, shops and units. Bigger roofs take more time, and they’re priced for the size.
Why get it checked now?
Your policy may say how quickly you need to report damage. Let your insurer know early, and check what your policy asks for. Our report can then add a clear record. In a place like Mid Lavant, a barn or garage roof left to fail puts whatever is inside at risk. It is worth including them in a survey before a winter does the damage.
The cost of a survey depends on the roof: how big it is, how high it is, the number of separate roofs and how safely it can be seen. Storm damage roof report starts from £150, including VAT.

Your questions about storm damage roof reports in Mid Lavant
Will you come out to Mid Lavant?
We do. Villages and rural addresses get the same survey as a town house, with the route planned beforehand.
Do you carry out roof surveys in Mid Lavant?
Yes, Mid Lavant is one of the places we work. The survey and report are the same in Mid Lavant as anywhere else.
Can you survey at the weekend?
We survey seven days a week: Monday to Friday, Saturdays and Sundays. Let us know which days suit you as you book.
How much is a storm damage roof report?
A storm damage report starts from £150. Commercial and larger roofs are quoted on size. Repair costs aren’t part of the report.
Will my insurer pay for an old roof?
Most policies do not cover wear and tear. Our report records storm damage and any older wear we see, so it’s clear what we found. How the policy applies is up to your insurer.
Can you tell me if my roof has asbestos?
No. We don’t sample or test for asbestos. The report may flag materials that could contain asbestos on buildings built or refurbished before 2000, with a recommendation to have a specialist asbestos surveyor check before it’s disturbed.
Does your report mean my claim will be accepted?
Only your insurer can decide that. We record the damage, with photos and the likely cause, which you can pass to your insurer.
The survey, step by step
Photographs are taken throughout the visit, so you can see in the report what we found and where. We take close-ups from wherever is safe, including by drone where it’s applicable and the weather allows. A typical visit takes roughly 1–2 hours on an ordinary house; commercial roofs usually need 3–4 hours. For a village or hamlet like Mid Lavant, the journey is planned ahead of time: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. On the day, we inspect whatever is safely visible, inside and out.
- First we go through when the storm hit and what you’ve noticed.
- We check the roof from wherever it is safe.
- Each area of damage is photographed and described.
- The report notes whether the damage fits a storm, older wear or both.
- We send you the report by email for your insurer.
Before we arrive
- Gather any invoices or paperwork from past roof work
- If it isn’t your property yet, arrange access through the agent
- Show us where any leaks or stains appear
