Need a drone roof survey in Linchmere?

Why get it checked now?

A drone survey disturbs nothing on the roof. Nothing is cracked or dislodged by footsteps, so you see the roof exactly as it is. In a place like Linchmere, a barn or garage roof left to fail puts whatever is inside at risk. A quick look before winter can save a lot.

To find out what your survey will cost, phone 07833 053749 or send us an email with the address and a few details. We will confirm the figure before booking.

How a drone roof survey works in Linchmere

Drone roof surveys are available in Linchmere and throughout London and South East England, subject to airspace checks and the weather. We fly seven days a week. We check the airspace for your address before booking a flight. The report includes the drone photos and our recommendations. To check whether your roof suits a drone survey, call 07833 053749 or drop us an email with the address. If you are worried about cracked slates and tiles out of sight from below and lead work pulling away at abutments, we can find out what’s behind it.

Somewhere as small as Linchmere, older roofs are often steep and partly hidden by trees or outbuildings. Close-up drone photos and thermal images help show what cannot be reached safely. Weather and airspace are looked at ahead of the visit. Steep slopes and tall chimney stacks are where a close-up view adds the most.

It isn’t only a list of defects. For each finding, it explains what it is, why it matters and what we’d recommend.

Airspace, weather and Linchmere roofs

England has around 10,000 conservation areas and about 500,000 listed buildings. Listed building consent is needed for changes that affect a listed building’s special interest, and conservation areas can limit changes of roofing material, so the council is the place to ask. Our drone weighs under 250g, and we hold a CAA Flyer ID and Operator ID. In the open category, flights stay below 120 m (400 ft) and within sight.

If you live in an older home near The Parish Church of St Peter, thin or patchy insulation under an old roof frequently shows up clearly on a thermal image. Take a building like Woolmer Hill School: a view from above covers a wide roof far faster than walking it.

How the survey changes by roof type

Valleys and parapet gutters

Hidden gutters and valleys sit out of sight. From above, we can see the linings, the joints and any debris.

Chimney stacks

Our drone check of a chimney is visual, not a flue, gas or sweep inspection. We will say if a specialist is needed.

What this survey can’t tell you

A survey is a careful look at the roof, but it cannot do everything. Its limits include:

  • Flying in a flight restriction zone without the airport’s permission
  • Photos in conditions too poor to fly
  • Roofs and gardens beyond the one we are surveying

Not sure which survey suits your roof? You can ring 07833 053749 or send us an email and we’ll tell you before you book. What our survey covers.

What we look at

  • Large and complex roofs
  • Fragile roofs
  • Valleys and parapet gutters
  • Tall and steep roofs
  • Flat roofs on upper floors
  • Chimney stacks

What affects the cost of drone roof surveys

Every roof is different, so prices are confirmed before booking. This is what makes a difference:

  • The roof’s overall size
  • Chimneys, valleys, parapets and other details
  • The package you choose: Basic, Standard or Premium
  • The type of building, from a house to a block or an office

Our price is from £400, including VAT. Basic starts from £150, Standard from £250 and Premium from £400, VAT included.

Booking your survey

The more you tell us, the easier it is to price the survey. When you contact us, tell us:

  • What made you get in touch
  • The kind of building and roof involved
  • Where the property is, with the postcode
  • Access details, such as a loft hatch or a shared roof

We survey roofs on any day of the week. To find a date that works for you, ring 07833 053749 or email us with the address and the days you’d prefer.

The survey, step by step

After the inspection, everything we found is written up as a photo-illustrated written report. On timing, most surveys take roughly 1–2 hours for most homes, with the pre-flight checks included, and longer for big commercial roofs. Somewhere as small as Linchmere, access is often the only tricky part. Mention any outbuildings, barns or garages you want included, and anything about the roof you already know. Weekday and weekend visits are available.

  1. We start by checking the airspace and any restrictions at your address.
  2. If permission is needed, we ask for it before the visit.
  3. We assess the wind, the weather and the surroundings before take-off.
  4. We fly the drone close to the roof to photograph it in detail, always in sight.
  5. Your report arrives by email, with close-up photos and recommendations.

Preparing for the visit

  • If it isn’t your property yet, arrange access through the agent
  • Leave side gates unlocked
  • Keep pets inside or away from the areas we are looking at

Booking a survey

Most bookings start with a short call: phone 07833 053749 or send us an email and we’ll ask a few questions about the roof. You’ll have a price before anything is arranged.

FAQs for Linchmere

Are there drone restrictions around Linchmere?

Usually it comes down to two things: the airspace at the address and the weather. Before any flight, we check the Drone Safety Map for airspace restrictions. High wind or heavy rain also stops a small drone flying.

Do you cover smaller places like Linchmere?

Yes, Linchmere is covered. We cover the whole of London and South East England, and smaller places are part of that. Longer journeys are simply planned beforehand.

What does the report include?

Written findings with photos, covering the condition of the roof, the defects we found and what we recommend. Standard adds moisture detection and a structural check; Premium adds thermal imaging, drone inspection where it applies and structural analysis.

What’s the best way to book?

Simply phone 07833 053749 or drop us an email with the address. After a few questions, we confirm the price and fix a day.

Does someone need to be in?

It depends on what we need to see. Inside the building and in the loft, we need someone to let us in; we will agree the details when you book.

How much does a drone roof survey cost in Linchmere?

Prices start from £400, including VAT. What you pay for your roof depends on its size, height, access and the package, confirmed before anything is booked.

Do you climb onto every roof?

Only when it’s safe. Safety comes first, and fragile or steep roofs cannot always be walked on. We use safe viewpoints, the roof space and a drone where it applies.
