FAQs for Enton Green
Do you cover smaller places like Enton Green?
Yes, Enton Green is on our map. A small place gets exactly the same survey as a big one.
Does a conservation area affect roof work in Enton Green?
We cannot confirm that for you, but Historic England’s list and your council can. A change of roofing material may need consent in either case.
Are you structural engineers?
No. We point out what can be seen, such as sagging or deflection, but we’re not structural engineers and don’t carry out calculations. If we think you need an engineer, the report says so.
Is a drone roof survey a thermal survey?
The drone gives you detailed photos of the outside of the roof. If you need thermal imaging, it’s part of the Premium Survey, as a separate check.
Does someone need to be in?
Not necessarily. If we only need the outside, we can agree that ahead of time, but the loft and any rooms with damp need someone to let us in.
Is your drone operator registered?
Yes. We hold both a CAA Flyer ID and an Operator ID. We use a sub-250g drone.
Do you survey roofs on blocks of flats?
Yes, once access has been agreed. The roof of a block or converted house is often shared, so we need permission from the building owner or managing agent. We can only inspect what we’re given access to.
Drone roof survey in Enton Green
Drone roof surveys are available in Enton Green and throughout London and South East England, where the airspace and the weather allow. Flights take place on weekdays and at weekends. Every address is checked for airspace restrictions first. The report includes the drone photos and our recommendations. To ask whether a drone survey suits your roof, call 07833 053749 or drop us an email. If you’re worried about flat roofs on upper floors that hold water and damage after a storm that can’t be seen from below, we can find out what’s behind it.
Somewhere as small as Enton Green, older roofs are often steep and partly hidden by trees or outbuildings. Close-up drone photos and thermal images help show what cannot be reached safely. Weather and airspace are looked at ahead of the visit. Steep slopes and tall chimney stacks are where a close-up view adds the most.
If any part of the roof couldn’t be seen safely, we say so in the report. That way, it’s clear what was covered and what wasn’t.

Buyers’ agents can book surveys on behalf of their clients. Reports are emailed, so they’re easy to pass on, photos included.
We survey roofs for landlords and letting agents as well as householders. A photo-illustrated written report gives you a clear record of the roof, which helps you plan work between tenancies.
What this survey can’t tell you
To be straight with you, there are limits to any roof survey:
- A flight on a day when the weather isn’t safe
- Neighbouring roofs the owner hasn’t asked us to survey
- Flights in a restricted zone without permission
Not sure which survey suits your roof? You can call 07833 053749 or drop us an email and we will tell you. The full list of what we check.

Airspace, weather and Enton Green roofs
About 4.1 miles north lies Loseley Park, a reminder of how long the area around Enton Green has been built on. Older homes in the wider area frequently have features worth a closer look, such as lead valleys, tall stacks and roofs that have been patched over the years, and any change of roofing material on a listed home needs checking with the council first. The drone we use is under 250g, flown by a CAA-registered operator with a Flyer ID and Operator ID. Open category rules keep flights below 120 m (400 ft) and the drone within sight at all times.
If you look after a building such as The Chandler CofE Aided Junior School, a view from above covers a wide roof far faster than walking it.

Roof by roof
Large commercial roofs
Large commercial roofs cover a lot of ground. A drone photographs the whole surface methodically.
Flat roofs on tall buildings
Leaks frequently start at outlets, edges and around plant. They’re all captured in close-up, as far as the flight allows.
How we price drone roof surveys
A few things affect what a survey costs:
- Features like valleys, chimneys, dormers and parapets
- Whether it is a home or a commercial building
- The height of the building and how the roof can be seen safely
- The package you choose: Basic, Standard or Premium
One thing that affects the price is the package: Basic from £150, Standard from £250 or Premium from £400, all including VAT. The roof’s size, height and access matter as well.
Helping us price your survey
When you call or email, these details help:
- Whether there’s a loft hatch, a shared roof or tricky access
- Pictures from the garden or a window, if you have them
- Where the property is, with the postcode
- Where any leaks, stains or damp patches show inside
Every survey is priced before it’s booked, so you know where you stand. Prices start from £400, including VAT. For a price for your roof, ring 07833 053749 or use the contact form.
When to book a survey in Enton Green
Strong winds can lift slates, tiles and ridge pieces. Damage on a high or steep roof is hard to judge from the garden. A drone shows what has slipped, lifted or gone.
Typical things we’re asked to look at include:
- Flat roofs on upper floors that hold water
- Ridge pieces that have lifted
- Blocked valleys and parapet gutters
- Damage after a storm that can’t be seen from below
For an older house near a landmark such as Church of All Saints, steep roofs, tall chimneys and hidden valleys can be hard to see from the ground, and that is where a view by drone or thermal camera helps.
