Drone Roof Survey in Weybridge
Drone roof surveys across Weybridge, with over 20 years’ experience behind it. Every survey ends with a written report and photos.
- Loose ridge and hip tiles
- Lifted or split lead flashings
- Blocked valleys and parapet gutters
Tips that help
Some practical points come up on survey after survey. They’re worth knowing whatever the roof:
- Shut pets inside while we fly
- Tell next door if the drone will be near their property
- Book early if you’re near an airport
- Allow for a change of day in poor weather
The report gives any roofer you ask to quote a clear brief. They’ll see exactly where each defect is, so their quotes cover the same ground.
Keep gutters, valleys and outlets clear, ideally once the leaves have fallen. On tall buildings, use a professional with the right access equipment. Blocked hidden gutters cause many leaks.
About our drone roof survey in Weybridge
Drone roof surveys are available in Weybridge and throughout London and South East England, subject to airspace checks and the weather. Flights take place on weekdays and at weekends. We check the airspace for your address before booking a flight. You get a written report with close-up photos and recommendations. To ask whether a drone survey suits your roof, ring 07833 053749 or drop us an email. We are often asked to look into flashings that have come away and ponding and splits on a high flat roof, on chimney stacks, flat roofs on upper floors and valleys and parapet gutters.
For a town like Weybridge, every drone flight starts with a check of the Drone Safety Map, which shows restriction zones around airports and prisons. We fly a sub-250g drone and hold a CAA Flyer ID and Operator ID. Neighbours’ privacy is part of planning every flight. Flights stay below 120 m (400 ft) and within sight, as the open category requires.
The report is yours to share with whoever needs it: your solicitor, the seller, your insurer, a roofer or the building’s managing agent, whichever applies.

How we price drone roof surveys
What a survey costs depends on the time and equipment it needs. The main factors are:
- The roof’s overall size
- The package you choose: Basic, Standard or Premium
- Height and safe access
- Whether it’s a home or a commercial building
For a price for your roof in Weybridge, phone 07833 053749 or email us and tell us about the roof. The price is agreed before a date is set.

- What kind of property and roof it is
Every survey is priced before it is booked, so you know where you stand. Drone roof survey starts from £400, including VAT. To book, phone 07833 053749 or send us an email.

What a drone roof survey looks like in Weybridge
Weybridge has a number of hotels within about a mile and a half, and hotels, like offices and blocks of flats, frequently have flat roofs. For hotels and other commercial buildings, large roofs are where photos from the air and thermal images show the most at once. Historic houses like Byfleet Manor, about 2.9 miles south, show how far back building in the area around Weybridge goes. If your home is one of the older ones, expect a mix of original materials and later repairs on the roof.
If you look after a building like St James CofE Primary School, a view from above covers a wide roof far faster than walking it. If you run a hotel or guest house in or near Weybridge, a roof problem can mean rooms out of use.

Why act early in Weybridge
It’s hard to plan maintenance for a roof nobody has looked at. You get photos of every part we can see, with recommendations prioritised by urgency where relevant. You can tackle the urgent items first. Around Weybridge, water from a roof defect frequently goes unseen for a while, such as the loft insulation, the top of a wall or the roof timbers. By the time a stain appears on a ceiling, there is more to put right.
Prices quoted always include VAT, and the report isn’t charged as an extra. Our price is from £400, including VAT. Where your roof sits in the range depends on its size, height and access.

How it works
The visit usually starts outside and finishes in the loft: outside views come first, then the loft space if there is safe access. All told, expect about 1–2 hours at most homes, or half a day or so for a commercial building. For a visit in Weybridge, we need access to the loft, any rooms with leaks or stains, and the outside of the building. If there’s a side gate or a rear garden, let us know how to reach it. Visits can be on weekdays, Saturdays or Sundays.
- We start by making sure a drone flight makes sense for the roof.
- A visit is booked for a weekday, Saturday or Sunday, weather permitting.
- Aerial photos are taken of your roof only, not the neighbours’.
- Where there’s safe access, we check the loft as well.
- You get photos, findings and clear recommendations.
Getting ready for the survey
- Have keys ready for side gates, garages or roof access doors
- Make sure the loft hatch can be reached
- Mention any parking restrictions on your street

Advice
Weybridge questions
Is my home in Weybridge listed or in a conservation area?
Your council is the best source, with Historic England’s list for listed buildings. A change of roofing material may need consent in either case, and councils can also use Article 4 directions.
Do you carry out roof surveys in Weybridge?
We do. The survey and report are the same in Weybridge as anywhere else.
When does the report arrive?
Each package has its own report time. Basic: within 48 hours. Standard: 24 to 48 hours. Premium: the same day. If you have a deadline, such as an exchange date, tell us when booking.
What will the report tell me?
It sets out what we found, why it matters and what we recommend, with photos throughout. Anything we couldn’t see safely is noted too.
Does someone need to be in?
That depends on the survey. Inside the building and in the loft, we need someone to let us in, while outside access can be discussed when booking.
How long will you be at the property?
The visit normally takes about 1–2 hours for most homes, with the pre-flight checks included, and longer for big commercial roofs. We’ll confirm what to expect when we arrange the visit.
Do you survey roofs on blocks of flats?
Yes. Shared roofs just need a little more planning, with whoever owns or manages the building. Tell us about it as you book and we will explain what’s needed.
Should I look at the roof myself first?
You can learn a lot from the ground. With binoculars, look for slipped or missing slates and tiles, gaps along the ridge and leaning chimneys. Never climb onto the roof to look.
What you cannot do safely is get up close. Slates, tiles, flat roofs and rooflights can give way. That part is for a survey, using safe viewpoints and a drone where applicable.
Common roof problems in Weybridge
After storms, owners want to know what has moved. It’s hard to tell from below what has shifted. A drone shows what has slipped, lifted or gone.
We’re frequently asked to look at:
- Wind damage high on the roof
- Worn lead at chimneys and walls
- Tired mortar and pots at the top of a stack
- Vegetation in valleys and gutters
The streets around a church such as United Reform Church are often among the oldest in a place, and if your house is among the older ones nearby, tall stacks and steep slopes are easier to judge with close-up aerial photos than from the pavement.
Before booking anyone
- Whether the roof space is looked at, where there is one
- Is VAT included in the price?
- Their drone registration, if they fly one
- Whether you can ask questions once you have the report
