Drone roof surveys for homes and businesses in Churchill
We carry out drone roof surveys in Churchill and across London and South East England, where the airspace and the weather allow. We fly on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Every address is checked for airspace restrictions first. The report includes the drone photos and our recommendations. To check whether your roof suits a drone survey, call 07833 053749 or email us with the address. If you are worried about cracked mortar along the ridge and flat roofs on upper floors that hold water, we can find out what’s behind it, whatever the roof.
Somewhere as small as Churchill, older roofs are often steep and partly hidden by trees or outbuildings. Close-up drone photos and thermal images help show what can’t be reached safely. Both the forecast and the airspace are checked first, and the journey is planned beforehand. Steep slopes and tall chimney stacks are where a close-up view adds the most.
The report doesn’t just list problems. For each finding, it explains what it is, why it matters and what we’d recommend.

FAQs for Churchill
Will you come out to Churchill?
Yes. Churchill is within the area we cover, which takes in towns, villages and rural addresses. We survey roofs across London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.
Is my home in Churchill listed or in a conservation area?
Historic England’s list shows listed buildings, and the local council can tell you about conservation areas. If a home is listed, changes that affect its special interest need listed building consent, and in a conservation area re-roofing in different materials may need permission.
Is a drone roof survey a thermal survey?
The drone gives you detailed photos of the outside of the roof. Thermal imaging comes with the Premium Survey, as a separate check.
Will you photograph next door’s garden?
We point the camera at your roof only. Next door’s windows and gardens are kept out of shot as far as possible, and flights are kept short. It is useful to tell neighbours beforehand.
Do drone rules differ in central London?
Central London has restricted areas where NATS permission is needed. Where we can’t fly, we use other safe vantage points and explain what we could see.
How much does a drone roof survey cost in Churchill?
Prices start from £400, including VAT. You’ll know the price for your roof before booking. To get a price, phone 07833 053749 or email us.
What does the report include?
Written findings with photographs, explaining the condition of the roof, any defects and our recommendations, by urgency where it matters. Standard adds moisture detection and a structural check; Premium adds thermal imaging, drone inspection where it applies and structural analysis.
Prices for drone roof surveys in Churchill
All our prices include VAT. The things that change the price are:
- The package you choose: Basic, Standard or Premium
- Any need for thermal images or a drone flight
- The height of the building and how the roof can safely be seen
- Chimneys, valleys, parapets and other details
Every price we give includes VAT. Our price is from £400, including VAT. You will know the price for your roof before you book.
Booking your survey
Getting the details right at the start saves time. It’s useful to include:
- Anything about access we should know
- The type of building and roof, like pitched or flat
- Where any leaks, stains or damp patches show inside
- What made you get in touch
If you have photos of the roof, send them over. Pictures from ground level or a window are fine, and please do not climb up for a closer look. To send them or to book, phone 07833 053749 or email us.
What we do, step by step
The visit normally starts outside and finishes in the loft: outside views come first, then the loft space if there is safe access. In total, it takes an hour or two for most homes, with the pre-flight checks included, and longer for big commercial roofs. Somewhere like Churchill needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. On the day, we inspect whatever is safely visible, inside and out.
- We confirm whether a drone suits your roof.
- A date is fixed, with a fallback in case the weather turns.
- Aerial photos are taken of your roof only, not the neighbours’.
- Where there is safe access, we check the loft as well.
- You get photos, findings and clear recommendations.
Preparing for the visit
- For a flat or shared roof, check access with the freeholder or managing agent
- Let us know where we can park nearby
- Have any questions written down, so nothing gets missed
How to book
Prices start from £400, including VAT. What you pay depends on the roof’s size, access and the package, so phone 07833 053749 or send us an email with the details.

Can I check my roof myself?
What you cannot do safely is get up close. Roofs are fragile and slippery, and a fall can be serious. That’s where a survey comes in, using safe viewpoints and a drone where applicable.
If you have a loft with safe access, take a look inside. Use a torch and stay on the joists or boards, checking for stains, damp wood or chinks of daylight.

Why get it checked now?
Leaving a slipped slate or a blocked valley can turn a small fault into a leak. Spotting them early keeps the work smaller, whatever height the roof is. Older and listed buildings around Churchill may need consent and matching materials for repairs, so a defect found early gives time to plan the work properly.
Larger roofs, taller buildings and commercial roofs take longer, so they’re priced to match. The price is confirmed before you book.

What we cannot see
A survey is a close look at the roof, but it cannot do everything. The main limits are:
- Structural calculations (that’s a structural engineer’s job)
- Close-up photos of next door’s property
- Flights in strong wind or a downpour
If you are not sure which survey you need, ring 07833 053749 or send us an email and we will give you a straight answer before booking. What a survey covers and doesn’t.
What we look at
- Tall and steep roofs
- Flat roofs on upper floors
- Valleys and parapet gutters
- Chimney stacks
- Large and complex roofs
- Fragile roofs
Drone roof surveys around Churchill
We fly a sub-250g drone and are a CAA-registered drone operator (Flyer ID and Operator ID). Open category rules keep flights below 120 m (400 ft) and the drone within sight at all times. Every flight is checked against the Drone Safety Map first, including zones around airports and prisons.
Chastleton House lies about 3.8 miles north-west, so building around Churchill goes back a long way. Close-up aerial shots and thermal images let an old roof be checked without anyone disturbing it. For an older house near a landmark such as Church of All Saints, tall stacks and steep slopes are easier to judge with close-up aerial photos than from the pavement. For site and facilities teams at buildings like Kingham Primary School, thermal images can show where wet insulation sits under a big flat roof.

Tips from our surveys
These tips come from what we see on roofs every week:
- Keep pets indoors during the flight
- Move stored items away from the hatch
- Book early if you are near an airport
- Tell us about any leaks or concerns
We email the report to you, with close-up photographs from the flight. Each finding is explained in plain words, and recommendations are ranked by urgency where that helps.
Do not block the vents at the eaves. Poor airflow lets condensation build up, and it’s something only an inside check will show. Check insulation does not block the airflow.
